Jennifer brings 23 years of experience to the salon as a seasoned hair stylist. And as co-owner and hair stylist, she divides her time between delivering excellent customer service while designing beautiful hair and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the salon.
She loves to do big transformations, short haircuts, and beautifully blended highlights are her specialty. She excels in men’s and children’s cuts, and enjoys doing perms as well.
Sarah has been with la Tierra Salon since 2007, and is a vital part of our team. She is a creative advanced stylist and colorist, and also hold the title of educator, mentor, friend, confidante, therapist, and assistant to the front desk. She consistently turns out beautiful work, and her strengths are color melting, color patterns, and hair extensions.
Sarah attended Grand Valley State University from 2002-2005, graduated from the Aveda Institute of Denver in 2006.
Her passions: Sarah’s family is a strong passion, along with her friends, and living life fully every day. Her dogs are a passion, spending time outdoors and keeping active physically is a passion, as well as vacations, and being able to visit her home state of Michigan. She’s passionate about the beauty of Colorado. She has a passion for her guest’s and their experiences with her. Along with creating beautiful hair, she enjoys being able to share her guest’s stories and special moments.
Lauren has evolved into a very accomplished stylist and colorist. Her haircuts are her strengths and they are detailed and precise. She is also very strong in color melting and ombres. Color is vital to so many people’s confidence and inner self worth; it is everywhere, and she embraces the role that it plays in people's lives.
Lauren mentors the newer stylists in the salon, while supporting fellow advanced stylists. Lauren welcomes continuing education, understanding that it is the key to continuing success.
Jules is an accomplished stylist and colorist that has proven herself to become an artist in hair design, graduating with a license in 2010. She is also, within our team, a friend, student, educator, and de-stresser when needed. Jules feels that while making her guests feel their best, they give back in the same way. She loves being part of an industry that is ever-changing, working for a company that lives by their mission to care for the world we live in. Jules is structured in her work, and embraces teamwork and commitment.
Monica graduated from Paul Mitchell in Atlanta, Ga in 2012. Monica worked in a high end salon there, and continued her education by attending courses with very notable artists such as Lupe Voss, Geno Chapman, Dell Miller, and Hauns Korpela. Monica specializes in artistic color such as balayage, color-melting, and high-end fashion color. While all of her cutting skills are honed and she holds the title of la Tierra Salon’s cutting trainer, she loves pixie cuts, shags, and bobs. Sitting in the chair of a stylist that is well rounded in all aspects of her life, makes for interesting conversation and impeccable results.
Taylor attended and graduated from the accredited Aveda Institute of Denver in 2012, however, she chose to spend time in different areas of the beauty industry before beginning her career, working as an Aveda Mentor until finding her home here in 2014. Starting at la Tierra as Front Desk, she has transitioned into our Aveda Color Trainer. Along with specializing in all color, she especially loves blonde highlights, fashion colors, and make-up. When not at work, you can find Taylor at concerts, playing games with family and friends, or in Disney.
Amber, originally from New Jersey, moved to Colorado with her family when she was 16. Surrounded by aunts who were hairstylists in Aveda salons, Amber felt the calling to create her own beauty. In 2008, she graduated from the Salon Professional Academy in Colorado Springs. Amber’s strengths in the industry are “anything blonde” and educating herself as our new Aveda Product Ambassador. Creating stunning balayage, color melts, and hair painting are a few of the creative skills she enjoys. Outside of work, Amber likes to spend time with her fiancé and dog exploring new restaurants. She also enjoys sporting events, fly fishing, and camping.
Claudia has been a hair stylist for 30+ years. She spent her first 10 years in NYC and accomplished competitive training, editorial work, and designer fashion shows. She believes she has built her career on the foundation of excellence in which she was trained, and continues to hold to that standard. She is an expert in precision haircutting and modern classic styles. Outside of work, Claudia enjoys nature, travel, live music and family time.
Ayisha graduated in 2003 from Cheek's International beauty school in Ft Collins Co. She enjoys coloring from blondes to more fun and trendy styles. She is constantly working to create the perfect experience for each person that sits in her chair. Outside of the salon, she loves spending time with her family, walking and playing with their dog, paddle boarding, traveling, cooking, and exploring.
Demi was born here in Denver, but grew up in Sacramento. She also lived in Rapid City, South Dakota, where she attended Headlines Academy for Cosmetology. Demi’s passion in hair is performing beautiful color on her guests. She excels in balayages and color melting, however, she loves all of it. Outside of work, Demi is very close to her family and spends as much time as possible with them. They enjoy everything together from board games and movies, to hiking and laser tag. She has a lot of pets the she “loves to pieces,” so she spends much of her time caring for them.
Monica went to the Technical College of the Rockies Her program started in August of 2017 and she graduated with her cosmetology license in September 2018. Her favorite services to do are blowdry styles and balayages. Outside of the salon, she likes going to the gym.
Heather attended the Aveda Institute Denver for cosmetology and graduated in 2018. She has completed the New Artist training program at la Tierra and is fully trained to perform all haircuts and hair color applications that you need. Her strengths and passions are fashion colors, color melting, and balayage. She shows off these beautiful color methods in the social media world, so look for her out there. She also excels in makeup application and instruction. Outside of work, Heather’s interests and passions are drawing, nail art, sewing, cooking, and crafting.
Haley is a native to Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She graduated from Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy and then assisted in a salon in Cherry Creek. She is looking forward to learning Aveda's products and lifestyle while providing her stylist services at la Tierra. She is certified in extensions and Brazilian Blowouts and in her free time, she enjoys listening to true crime podcasts, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.
New Artist
Skyler graduated from the Denver Aveda Institute in 2022. While originally from California, she has resided in Colorado since 2014. One of her favorite aspects of hair is doing fashion colors. Outside of the salon, some of her interests include watching horror movies, roller skating, and exploring Colorado for a new adventure.
Julie has been a Nail Technician and Esthetician for the past 35 years. She takes great pride in her work, has a great understanding of how the human spirit and the human body are one. She is certified in foot reflexology, along with her extensive skin and nail skills. She has an understanding of essential oils and their benefits to a person in their everyday life. She is very devoted to her guests, and very detailed in her work. She is passionate about her animals, family, and the care she gives them is evident of this. She is truly grateful in her life for each and every guest that she services.
Ezgi was born in Turkey & fell in love with their culture of taking care of your skin and waxing at an early age. She became a licensed esthetician in 2019 from Stacey James Institute in Parker. Her goals are to see her guests leaving the room feeling confident, refreshed and pleased with their service. She says: "I will forever be a student & learn different methods and ways to care for my guest’s skin." In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking evening walks.
